As a Patient Account Specialist, you will be responsible for processing account payments, updating insurance and demographic information, and researching payments. You will also rebill insurance when updates have been provided and work with other departments to achieve resolution, including adjustments and insurance follow-up. This position has the ability to work remote for Colorado residents.

Performs Denial analysis utilizing the Trizetto platform and works directly with practice consultants or physicians.

Responsible for determining the patient financial component for patient services. Estimates, communicates and collects the patient financial responsibility and provides patient financial counseling. Assists patients in understanding their insurance benefits including their co-payment, deductible and co-insurance responsibility.

Patient Financial Services Representatives are crucial to revenue cycle, reducing AR and improving patient experience firsthand, post care. This involves researching and holding payers accountable to pay the expected rates according to contracts. This role provides an immediate sense of accomplishment when resolving outstanding issues with insurance payers and allows growth throughout the collections/Accounts receivable area of expertise.
