We are seeking a Head of Payments Compliance to lead and evolve Modern Treasury’s compliance program as we expand into the flow of funds, overseeing AML/BSA, sanctions, fraud, and consumer compliance programs. This role will ensure adherence to regulatory obligations and the expectations of bank partners and other financial institutions, reporting to the VP, Legal and working with Product, Engineering, and Risk.

This role will be key in strengthening document response capabilities and supporting both large litigation cases and smaller investigations. Responsibilities include running complete eDiscovery workflows, maintaining chain of custody, collaborating with legal teams, executing document search strategies, and supporting improvements in data management processes.

Assess the effectiveness of FinCrime controls, such as Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions Screening and Suspicious Activity Report reviews across Retail and Business bank accounts. You’ll play a key role in identifying operational errors and determining their root cause, writing thorough, constructive and balanced feedback to enable business improvements and Investigator development.

The Medicaid/Medicare Program Integrity Analyst II performs evaluation and development of leads, complaints, and/or investigations to verify allegations of potential fraud. Recommends and/or implements appropriate administrative actions. This position will report directly to the Program Integrity Supervisor and will work remotely from a home office.

On any given day you may be advising on the data protection risks of a new product launch, a complex data transformation project, a new direct marketing campaign, how we use new innovative technologies in our advertising ecosystem or the implementation of a novel AI solution.

As part of our local Legal team, you will participate in shaping the future of our local German legal and contracting operations. Core responsibilities include reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts with customers, partners, and service providers while ensuring compliance with applicable legal frameworks. The role involves collaborating closely with internal and external departments to shape and implement legal strategies.

You will help accelerate the growth of Kraken in North America by building trusted relationships with utility regulators/policymakers, client regulatory teams, and external advocacy partners. Licensing and implementing Kraken to regulated North American utilities is subject to myriad state and federal laws and regulations. Our long-term success in North America depends on a combination of deep client partnerships as well as strong regulatory engagement.
