AssemblyAI is seeking an experienced and business-minded Legal Counsel to join their team at a key moment in their company’s growth. In this role, you’ll take ownership of a well-established legal function and continue building on strong foundational work. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Security, and senior leadership to manage a wide range of legal matters.

Serve as the company’s first legal executive, partnering closely with the Board of Directors and executive leadership team, playing a critical role in guiding the company’s legal strategy while helping shape its long-term growth. You will build and lead the legal function from the ground up, providing expert counsel across corporate, commercial, compliance, intellectual property, privacy, and employment matters.

The Legal Counsel will report to the Chief Legal Officer and join an experienced, close-knit team that advises across all aspects of TRM’s rapidly-growing global business. The team provides timely, ethically-sound, and commercially-savvy advice on matters including commercial disputes and regulatory matters, contract negotiations, product counseling, compliance with global laws and regulations, dispute avoidance/resolution, corporate governance, and overall risk management.
